Sphinx: Char Design

Flower of Rhode: Character Designs

Here are some of the character designs I have been working on for my next short film. It's only at the development stage at the moment though. So stay tuned for more as it comes.

Here are a couple of expression tests I did. I always like to do these. It helps you get into the character more and flesh it out a bit more.

Shine On Darling

Here is my Painting for the Truly Deeply 2010 Art for Heart exhibition/charity auction. Which is always a fantastic event. Going to drop it off tonight. My second painting was destroyed by a vicious and vengeful falling photo frame. I think it got jealous.

I've broken it down here to 3 simple stages.
1 Initial pencil/paper sketch
2 Flat base colors
3 Colored linework, shadows, highlight and ambient lighting.

Hot Rod Girls

One of my first Hot Rod Girls drawn late last year. Just got round to scanning alot of them. This one is called "Hot Tart Passing By". I use a mixture of Pantone Markers, Pencils, and Black and White Ink with a splash of other colors.

I've Included the rough sketch which I do on the same page used for the final. I like to keep a record of the construction for my own reference.
